The Mission of Do Good Grants

We seek to improve the quality of life for humans and animals.  We feel that targeted micro-grants are an effective means to fuel more good work.

We fund projects in San Luis Obispo County proposed by individuals (residents of San Luis Obispo County) that have the potential to make the world a better place.  We are focused on seeding social change projects and passionate leadership.

We are not interested in sustaining an already existing organization.  We believe in supporting the passionate individual armed with a viable project likely to make meaningful change in the world.

At the formative stages of a project, a microgrant represents validation and encouragement needed to move forward to the next level.

Do Good Grants looks at the values it wants to replicate in the world and invests in those values.

Some of the areas in which we will consider awarding a grant are:

• Human rights, equality, and dignity;
• Animal rights and welfare;
• Protecting the planet;
• Arts and Culture;
• Kindness and generosity;
• Health and wellness;
• Addressing quality of life issues for youth and seniors.
