Grant Application

    • Do Good Grants will fund your project only if it is for the benefit of people or animals in San Luis Obispo County, California.
    • We fund individuals, and some informal groups like a class or social club.
    • We do not provide funding to for-profit or non-profit organizations.
    • We do not provide funding to pay you for your time.
  • You must be registered and logged in to apply for a Do Good Grant.

[Note: Due to persistant Russian Bots registering every 10 seconds, we may have turned registration off temporarily.  If registration is unavailable, please use the email address on the Contact Us page to tell us who you are and we can get you registered.]

After you are logged in, the Application will be available as an item on the Main Menu.  Selecting that item will provide an on-line application of several pages for you to complete.

If you would like to prepare your answers before actually completing the on-line Application, you may download a ‘fillable’  Application Worksheet (requires Adobe Reader) that you can use to help you prepare your answers off-line.  For the worksheet, follow this link: Worksheet.  Please note, the worksheet is for your use only.  You must complete the ON-LINE APPLICATION to actually apply for a Do Good Grant.

After you have all your responses prepared, and are ready to actually apply for a grant, you can just ‘Copy and Paste from the ‘fillable’ Application Worksheet onto the on-line form available from the Main Menu (when you are logged in).

  • The application is presented in several parts.
      • First we  ask for information about you.
      • We ask for descriptions of and information about your project.
      • We will also ask you for some information about the budget for the project, and how you would spend a Do Good Grant.
    • Lastly, we ask for two references.

There are also a few questions that will determine if you qualify for our grant program.

At this time, we are funding only those projects that will operate in San Luis Obispo County, CA.
We do not award grants to any project that discriminates against protected groups.
We generally do not fund companies nor non-profit organizations. Informal groups (clubs, social groups, etc) may qualify, but we are looking for individuals who want to do good.
We don’t give grants to pay people for their time spent on a project, nor for an organization’s operational costs.
